Gerber Castillo
A native of Koreatown, Los Angeles, I come from a diverse athletic background, having played soccer, basketball, baseball, and practiced jiujitsu. My passion for sports and teaching extends beyond just playing — I’ve coached junior basketball in local rec leagues and led girls’ softball teams.
For the last 20 years, I’ve also had a career as a producer and editor in the film and television industry, a path that has honed my creative eye and attention to detail — qualities I bring to my golf instruction.
My journey into the world of golf began in 2010, when what started as an innocent game of Wii Golf quickly turned into a full-blown obsession. Since then, golf has become not only my passion but my purpose.
I’ve had the privilege of apprenticing under Keith Morgan at Scholl Canyon, where I’ve refined my skills and deepened my understanding of the game. I’m eager to share that knowledge, whether it’s about swing mechanics or the mental game — that crucial part of golf that happens behind the eyes and between the ears.
I’m excited to teach, talk, and learn all things golf with anyone who shares a love for this beautiful sport. Fun fact: I’ve got two aces, both at Scholl Canyon.
